Paul will be making his confirmation on April 25th 2015 at St John the Evangelist church in Clinton Ma. It is around 7 to 10 minutes away from St. BENEDICT CENTER.. we left the house at 6:15 am and on the way we said our joyful rosary.Paul had his retreat day at the st. Benedict center in Still River which was a wonderfully blessed day. MASS was at 9:30 then silence while they ate breakfast. Then Father Peter spoke 1st conference on how the world is compared to a Catholic who is concerned for their own souls and how to put your life in order of what is most important to you as far as your salvation. He said the world is not looking out for the best interest of your soul. The world says popularity and get what you can and get as much as you can obtain. Where Jesus said come to me all you who are heavyly burden I will refresh you. Look at the birds of the sky they do not worry about what they shall eat or where they shall live. Doesn't your heavenly Father love you more. Trust in God in all things. The world is not looking out for your salvation. The priest told us of this young girl she was in the Boston hospital with the flu, father Peter went to visit her the same day she had fallen into a coma and the nurse right in front of the priest put a full siringe of morphine into the iv and he witnessed a murder. But the hospital said it was so that she wouldn't suffer. The priest said the most awsome part of being a priest is giving the last rights. He said to watch them take that step into eternity. Some he said told father Peter they wished they had more time to prepare. Other people found out they had cancer and knew they had time they converted and brought many souls back to the church to daily Mass.
Then the children had lunch free time to play. Paul went to the chapel and prayed 8the rosary and read a book on st. Paul. After lunch we prayed the rosary then had 2nd conference was on being a soidier of God. And how we have to be courageous and trust in God's Holy Spirit and we don't have a choice as a Catholic. We don't have to worry about what we say the Spirit will take us over. As long as we are staying close to God in our pray life and praying for God's guidance in our life. We are to pray for others and lead as many to God as we can for love of our brothers and sisters souls. We are to pray for there conversions and lead them also to Mary through Jesus. Then we watched a movie on the Holy Spirit coming to the disciples in the upper room. When they received the Holy Spirit there was no stopping them from telling others (proclaiming) about the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus and his power to heal and the power to forgive sins. JESUS gave this authority to heal and change bread into Jesus body and wine into his blood for us to receive and also through our priest to give us the church and God's sacraments to be administered through his priest and the miracles only GOD could do again it was through th Holy Spirit that they receive they were commanded to spread all that Jesus tells us through his word. And to proclaim our faith the Creed to others. And only Jesus could forgive our sins. But through his ordain priest it is Jesus power to forgive sins he works through the priest. He gives all confirmed people this wonderful gift of his own Holy spirit. Then we had adoration for a 1/2 hr. Then we had repose of the Blessed Sacrament and. Beautiful hymns of praise then we left to go home. What a peaceful Holy day it was. Thank you God for this was the day the Lord has made let us always rejoice and be glad in it. Have a prayerful day and stay close to God and everyday can be as peaceful and Holy as this day. Retreats with God are such a blessing to be able to be quite and listen and to beloved by God is the best and to share this love with others. Thank you again God for this wonderful day spent with you and that Paul and I were called to be there. Please bless us always and may we forever be always in pray and unity with your Spirit and always your will be done. Amen.Added April 30, 2017 by Barbara Kowal - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
